Thorbourne, 27, who appeared on seasons 27 of The Bachelor, shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday, Dec. 30. In the post, she revealed that the proposal took place in Lagos, Nigeria.
“Turns out, 2025 saved its best surprise for last 💍 I’ve become left handed yall!!!!” she wrote in the post’s caption, which accompanied a video montage of the special moment.

She went on to express her appreciation for her fiancé, who Bachelornation.com reports is named Tony.

“I never imagined a moment could hold this much happiness. Seeing you move with such intentionality, planning for our future with me in mind and even flying across an entire ocean to propose in Lagos on your first trip out of the USA,” she contined.

The video also featured several closeups of the beauty entrepreneur’s engagement ring, which appears to be a raised solitaire diamond set on a thin gold band.
Thorbourne is best known for receiving America’s First Impression Rose on her season of The Bachelor, an honor voted on by viewers after the season’s first episode. While the distinction signals early fan support, it is not awarded by the Bachelor himself.
She self-eliminated from the show in week 3 rather than waiting for Zach Shallcross, her season’s bachelor, to make his decision.
Thorbourne currently uses her social media platform to share lifestyle, beauty and travel content.
