Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are fueling engagement rumors

Hurley first sparked speculation by posting photos of herself wearing a diamond ring, then Cyrus included a ring emoji in a post set to Mark Collie’s “Something with a Ring to It”

The couple confirmed their relationship in April 2025

Engagement rumors between Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are heating up.

Speculation about the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, 65, and the actress and model, 61, was sparked earlier this week when Hurley posted photos wearing a diamond ring on that finger. Days later, Cyrus added fuel to the fire.

On Monday, Oct. 12, Hurley posted behind-the-scenes photos from her first day on set of The ‘Burbs season 2 on Instagram wearing nothing but a white bathrobe and a mysterious ring on her left-hand ring finger. The diamond was hidden in the first photo of the carousel, but Hurley made sure to turn the band around to show off the rock in the second photo.

“SO EXCITED ❤️❤️❤️,” commented Hurley’s son, Damian, 24, whom she shares with late ex Steve Bing.

Three days later, on Thursday, Oct. 15, Cyrus further sparked engagement buzz by posting a photo of himself with “Something with a Ring to It” by Mark Collie playing in the background and a diamond ring emoji in his caption.

“This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time,” he wrote on Instagram. “Party’s in The Back with DELTONA went over a half million views in a few days. It’s fun. Speaking of … wait until you hear them on I Want My Mullet Back 20 year anniversary special. They also join me on a John Prine tribute track of the classic and still relevant to a whole new generation….   ‘Storm Windows’.  🪟 I like seeing peoples dreams come true. I’m so excited for the show this weekend teaming up with NASCAR in Phoenix !!! Kinda has a ring 💍 to it.”

Damian commented, “🥳.”

Reps for Cyrus and Hurley could not be reached for comment.

Cyrus first met Hurley while filming the 2022 holiday movie Christmas in Paradise on the Caribbean island of Nevis, not long after he separated from his ex-wife, Tish.

Cyrus and Tish were together for 28 years and they share five children. The country singer adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi, 39, and Trace, 37. The former couple then welcomed three more kids: Miley, 33, Braison, 32, and Noah, 26. The “Butterfly Fly Away” singer also shares son Christopher, 34, with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey.

Hurley and Cyrus reconnected years later. They confirmed they were dating on April 20, 2025, when they posted a joint photo on Instagram of Cyrus kissing Hurley on the cheek. One month later, on May 24, 2025, the couple made their red carpet debut together in Rome.

Since then, they’ve raved about their relationship in interviews and on social media.

In June, Cyrus told PEOPLE that Hurley came into his life during the making of his latest albumThe Hill, his first in 14 years, which was released over the summer. “She came into my life in the making of this album,” Cyrus said at the time. “She came over to explore why Nashville is so happening.”

The country star went on to add that he and Hurley have a deep understanding of what it means to have relationships in the spotlight.

“There was something in the opposites of us, I think, that maybe not only got other people’s attention but even our own,” he said of his connection with Hurley. “And I’ve never seen anybody that, in some ways, has more in common with the insanity that I have lived through in this crazy show business. Then mix in other personal, good things and tragedies — she’s like me.”

Hurley added that she loves seeing Cyrus get to know her son, while she’s enjoying meeting his kids, as well. “I love that Billy and my son Damian get on so well and spend a lot of time together. In the past year I’ve really enjoyed starting to get to know some of his kids too.”
