CoreWeave's rebound is getting tested — here are the levels bulls need to hold

CoreWeave (CRWV) sprang a bear trap Thursday. Now another sell-off is testing whether the bulls can hold their ground.
The AI cloud provider's shares are falling Friday after staging a dramatic reversal the previous session. Shares briefly broke below their summer floor near $60 on Thursday, sank to $59.51, then climbed to $69.76 — a 17% rebound from the low.
That's a classic bear trap: a break below support that reverses, catching traders who bet on further declines. CoreWeave finished Thursday nearly 6% higher, following Wednesday's 15% plunge.

CoreWeave staged an upside reversal after briefly penetrating a key low Thursday and is trading down Friday.
Today's retreat is testing how much of that recovery buyers can defend.
The immediate level to watch is $63.43. That represents a 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of Thursday's advance from $59.51 to $69.76 — a proportion technicians watch for potential support after a rally.
CoreWeave came within roughly 21 cents of that level this morning, reaching $63.64 before recovering some ground. Around $64, the stock has given back more than half of Thursday's rebound.

CoreWeave traded down towards its 61.8% Fibonacci level Friday, measured from Thursday's low to high. The financing debate is proving harder to reverse
Thursday's recovery followed reassuring comments from Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang, whose company is both a major shareholder and a supplier to CoreWeave. As Yahoo Finance's Ines Ferré reported Friday morning, Huang said CoreWeave's strength was improving, and its cost of capital was declining.
BofA Securities senior software analyst Tal Liani is also standing by the company, maintaining a Buy rating and $140 price target.
"First of all, this is more sentiment-driven. This is not about fundamentals," Liani told Yahoo Finance Thursday.

His argument rests on long customer contracts, revenue visibility and financing supported by those agreements. But confidence in the company's ability to deliver remains far from unanimous. As Yahoo Finance's Hamza Shaban reported Friday, Bernstein is maintaining an Underperform rating and questioning the economics of its long-term business model.
American Ingenuity Fund portfolio manager Adam Johnson, who disclosed buying more CoreWeave Thursday, explained on Yahoo Finance Friday that falling bond prices don't change the interest rate the company agreed to pay on its existing fixed-rate debt. The concern is what CoreWeave will have to pay when it borrows again.
Those financing concerns extend beyond CoreWeave
Yahoo Finance executive editor Brian Sozzi reported Friday that investors demanded an additional 25 basis points of compensation over Treasurys to hold AI-related high-yield debt between October 13 and October 14. The comparable increase outside AI was just 2 basis points, according to Goldman Sachs.
That suggests investors are demanding more compensation for the risks of financing AI specifically, rather than just turning bearish on riskier borrowers across the board. For companies relying on repeated borrowing to expand, the next round of funding could be more expensive.
For the stock, holding around that key Fib level at $63.43 would preserve more of Thursday's recovery. A sustained break would put $59.51–$60 back in focus. Bulls first need to reclaim roughly $70 before looking toward potential long-term resistance around $92–$93 and $120.
Watch the debt alongside the shares. A recovery in both would offer stronger evidence that financing concerns are easing.
