CVS customers: You may be eligible for money from a class-action lawsuit settlement. Here's how to file a claim before the deadline.
The deadline to file a claim to receive money from a CVS class-action settlement is just a month away.
CVS agreed to the settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit brought against the company. The lawsuit alleged CVS violated laws by sharing user data from its website and application with advertising company Criteo. CVS and Criteo denied any wrongdoing.
In a previous statement, Amy Thibault, a CVS spokesperson, said: "We stand by our privacy practices and believe they comply with applicable laws. The settlement resolves claims based on legal theories that challenge common online industry practices."
Affected customers can submit a claim for money through Nov. 16. The settlement is awaiting final court approval.
Who is eligible for money in CVS settlement?
The settlement class is anyone in the United States who, before July 27, accessed one of the following:
CVS.com
CVShealth.com
CVS mobile app
How much money can you get from CVS settlement?
Anyone who submits an eligible claim form can receive up to $10 from the settlement.
Those who submit a claim without documentation of their use of the CVS websites or app can get up to $5. Customers who submit proof can get up to $10.
How to file claim in CVS settlement
Those who are eligible to file a claim in the settlement can submit their claim online on the settlement website.

Claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by Nov. 16.
When will settlement money be sent?
An approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Dec. 1.
If the settlement is approved, class members who submitted a valid claim will receive their payment 120 days after the settlement has been approved and any appeals process is complete.
Payments can be sent via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or check, and all checks will expire 180 days after they are issued, according to the settlement website.
