David Muir opened Wednesday's episode of his ABC show World News Tonight with "breaking news" about Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle's return to the UK.
On Wednesday, August 19, Harry and Meghan made headlines after it was announced that the married couple and their children, Archie and Lilibet, would be heading back to Britain after leaving the country for California, United States, in 2020.
"There is also breaking news involving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at this hour, ABC News has learned they're now moving back to the UK leaving the US, so what's behind this?" David asked before he introduced ABC reporter Trevor Ault to provide more detail.

"We have learned from a source familiar situation that King Charles learned of these plans on Sunday, and he welcomes the opportunity to see the family more frequently..." Trevor explained.

He also added that ABC also "learned that there's going to be no change in Harry and Meghan's official status as non-working royals, they're going to be sticking with that agreement that they reached when they left the UK all those years ago."

On Sunday, August 16, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield explained that King Charles reconciliation with Harry and Meghan reportedly has Harry's brother Prince William "blindsided."
Also, Harry and Meghan were reportedly "considering a public apology" to help heal their feud with the Royal Family. In a recent episode of The Royals Uncensored, host Joe Elvin had former royal butler Grant Harold as a guest along with Kinsey. Kinsey argued that it's "incredibly unfair" that the King has left his eldest son, William, to "deal with the mess."
The host added, "There are some fresh reports suggesting that Harry is keen to keep building bridges. Apparently, there are more visits in the works, and there are rumors that Harry and Meghan are considering a public apology to end the feud. We know the King's door is ajar, but William's is firmly shut with a chair propped up firmly against the door."

Additionally, Joe implied that King Charles might be "smoothing the path" in an attempt to resolve the family conflict and protect the royal legacy.
"I think it's more selfish than that," Kinsey insisted during the conversation. "The King doesn't want to be remembered for cutting off his son and for not trying to make it work. I think he is selfish when it comes to William."
