We can always go back to Colorado.
On Saturday, Oct. 17, Jane Seymour and Joe Lando reunited for a panel about Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman at 90s Con at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Conn., sharing their first impressions of one another and how they developed an intimate bond after surviving a natural disaster together.
On the show, Seymour, 75, played Dr. Michaela Quinn, a physician who leaves Boston to find adventure in the Old West and settles in Colorado Springs. Lando, 64, played Byron Sully, a rugged outdoorsman who becomes Dr. Quinn’s love interest.
Of her first impression of Lando, Seymour said, “My feeling was I saw him and I went, ‘Oh my God, I’ve not seen a man that looks that gorgeous as long as I can maybe ever remember except, you know, as an imaginary, you know, romance song or something.’”
“We really fell in love. That’s a secret. It’s not a secret, is it anymore?” she added.

During the panel, the two also shared that they endured a flash flood together during one of their first days on set, with Lando urging Seymour to get into his pickup truck so they could escape together.
“We got out of there and it was like the craziest thing ever,” Seymour said, adding that the two then went to grab Mexican food and margaritas.
“And it took us like $5, and then we realized that, you know, we had actually fallen in love,” she said, adding, “So everything you saw on Dr. Quinn, certainly in the pilot [was real.]”
Despite getting romantically involved, the two ultimately broke up shortly after, she said.

“We realized that Joe really needed to — he had a plan. He had a, was it a four-child white picket fence [plan]? And a younger wife plan,” Seymour said, adding that at that point, she already had children “and I was older and I was never gonna be able to have [more] kids.”
Seymour would later get pregnant again, joking, “But I showed him — I had twins.”
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman ran on CBS for six seasons, from 1993 to 1998. The cast also included Chad Allen, Erika Flores, Jessica Bowman and Shawn Toovey. The show’s cast also reunited for sequel TV films in 1999 and 2001.
Back in June, Seymour and Lando opened up to PEOPLE about their bond. “We’re kind of like an old married couple,” he said.
Seymour agreed and added, “We actually can finish one another’s sentences. We could predict what one another’s going to get upset about.”

Seymour and Lando reunited for season 5 of Acorn TV’s hit cozy mystery series Harry Wild, which stars Seymour as the titular retired professor. Lando played a charming pathologist.
Seymour also reflected on what it meant for her to be cast as Dr. Quinn in the early ‘90s.
“Honestly, the minute I came on Dr. Quinn, I was at the lowest ever of my life,” she told PEOPLE. “I took the job because I was literally penniless and about to lose my home.”
“I’d call my agent, and said, ‘I will literally do anything,’ “ she remembered. “And this job came up pretty much later that day.” When she read the script, she immediately connected with it.
“So the next morning at 10:00 A.M., I had to say yes or no. I said yes,” she remembered of the show’s tight turnaround. “At noon, I was on the set trying on costumes. And then the next thing I know, the next day I was filming, so that’s how fast everything happened.”
