EW has confirmed that Chad Feehan, the creator and showrunner of the *Yellowstone* spinoff, won't continue with the series should there be a second season. The news comes just three weeks before the debut of the latest entry in the *Yellowston*e Universe.
*Dutton Ranch* is arguably the most anticipated show to arrive in the ever-expanding world of *Yellowstone*, given its focus on Cole Hauser's Rip Wheeler and Kelly Reilly's Beth Dutton, whose relationship became the heart of the flagship series.
Paramount previously revealed an explosive *Dutton Ranch* trailer, which unveiled the first looks at two new powerhouse additions in Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

Here's the official *Dutton Ranch* logline: "As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together — far from the ghosts of Yellowstone — they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul."
The May 15 premiere of *Dutton Ranch* comes on the heels of the huge success of the first spinoff sequel, *Marshals*. The CBS hit follows Beth's brother Kayce (Luke Grimes) and has already been greenlit for a second season.
