As per an insider, Ex-Prince Andrew’s royal funeral plans have ignited anger, and it is for an important reason. A palace source confided to Radar Online that the funeral plans currently being reported in the media have drawn outrage. This is not just because of his controversial past but also because of his changed position within the royal family.
People are furious because the former prince, who was stripped of his royal titles and essentially banished from royal life, could still be entitled to a royal funeral.
An insider dished to the outlet, “There will inevitably be people asking why Andrew should still receive such a significant national royal honor after everything that has happened. A ceremonial funeral carries enormous symbolism – and that is why the fact he is set to receive this national honor has become so controversial, and it has been met with real fury.”

Notably, Andrews‘ name continues to appear on a secret government list of members of the royal family eligible for high-profile funerals.
For those unversed, under the existing criteria, such a royal ceremonial funeral could include a service at St George’s Chapel. This is located within Windsor Castle. Notably, Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II have had their funeral services held at the historic chapel.
According to sources, Andrews could potentially be laid to rest at the Royal Burial Ground at Frogmore. King Edward VIII is among the members of the royal family buried there.
