Jennifer Runyon Corman had been diagnosed with cancer prior to her death at age 65 on March 6. **

The *Ghostbusters* and *Charles in Charge *actress “passed away after a six-month battle with cancer” on Friday, her representative told* Us Weekly*.**

“She felt loved and blessed by her family and friends,” the rep added. “She was beloved by countless people and will be missed.”**

A representative for Runyon Corman did not immediately respond to **’s request for comment.

In the wake of her death, Runyon Corman’s friends, family, and former costars have taken to social media to honor the actress. Her friend Erin Murphy similarly noted that Runyon Corman died following “a brief battle with cancer” in a Sunday Facebook post. **

"Some people you just know you’ll be friends with before you even meet,” Murphy wrote. “She was a special lady. I’ll miss you Jenn. My thoughts are with your family and beautiful children.”

Runyon Corman’s Facebook account also announced her death on Sunday, before it was made private.

“This past Friday our beloved Jennifer passed away,” read the post, per ABC7. “It was a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family.”

The Chicago-born actress is survived by her husband Todd Corman, as well as their two children, son Wyatt and daughter Bayley. In an Instagram post on Sunday, Bayley paid tribute to her “best friend” and mother.

“all of the best parts of me came from you,” Bayley captioned her post. “I would give anything for one more day together.”

Alongside her note, Bayley shared a collection of snapshots and videos taken with her mom, which ranged from childhood snapshots to a video in which they sing No Doubt’s 1995 hit “Just a Girl” together. In another image, Runyon Corman could be seen sitting in a hospital bed with two dogs.

In the comments section, Bayley added, “The kindest most compassionate person i’ve ever known. my best friend. i wasn’t ready for this.”
