Haley Kalil is opening up about her previous relationships.

Appearing on a Jan. 6 episode of Amanda Hirsch's Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, the model and influencer alleged that she's dealt with abuse in previous relationships.

"I've dealt, of course, as any girl has with a lot of emotional abuse in relationships, cheating, all of that stuff," Haley told Hirsch on the episode. "But no, one of my exes was physically abusive."Haley even went on to reveal that her experience in the alleged abusive relationship is what led her to create her online video series, Billionaire Boyfriend, where Haley satirically acted as the girlfriend of a billionaire in video skits."That's why in my first Billionaire Boyfriend [episode] I have a cast on my wrist, because domestic violence," she explained.Hirsch and Haley spoke about her navigating these prior relationships, saying that, at one point in time, after getting out of her "abusive relationship," she had committed herself to becoming "the best person I could be."However, speaking with Hirsch about her "type" when it comes to dating, Haley admitted that she was a "bad picker."

"I just keep picking them bad," the model, 33, told Hirsch."I've had some amazing people in my life, so I don't want to shade all of them," she clarified. "I just tend to be very trusting when people tell me things, almost to the point of I will believe their delusions because I'm like, 'No, they would never want to lie.'""I like somebody that that has life experience and understands the complexities of life and that just because you did one wrong thing one time, it doesn't make you a bad person," she continued.

Hirsch clarified with Haley that the person she was referring to was not her ex-husband, Matt Kalil, to which Haley replied affirmatively, saying, "This was a boyfriend." The inception of the first Billionaire Boyfriend episode also predates Haley's only other known public relationship with Brazilian model Kyle Vieira by about two years. Haley and Vieira were first linked in 2024 and recently broke up in the summer of 2025. The first Billionaire Boyfriend skit was posted in 2022.The episode, which premiered on Jan. 6, aired the same day that her ex Matt filed a lawsuit against the influencer.

In the lawsuit obtained by PEOPLE, Matt calls out her “invasive commentary” about the pair's marriage — which Haley shared on a Twitch livestream in November 2025 — claiming it ruined his ability to stay out of the public eye.Back in November, Haley appeared on a livestream with popular streamer Marlon Garcia, where the former Sports Illustrated model candidly opened up about the couple’s sex life during their nearly seven-year marriage, and insinuated that her ex's penis size was "the biggest factor" in their divorce.

In an exclusive quote to PEOPLE, the influencer's legal counsel, Matthew Bialick, said the "case is legally unsupported," going on to say that they would "immediately move to dismiss it."

"The claims seek to dramatically expand existing law and establish damaging new precedent by imposing liability on a woman for merely speaking openly and truthfully about a prior relationship," Bialick shares exclusively with PEOPLE.

Her actions were extreme, outrageous, beyond all possible bounds of decency, and have caused substantial harm to Matt Kalil, his family, and his business.”In a statement to PEOPLE, Haley also spoke out about the lawsuit."The truth is in the original livestream - which is still live on Marlon’s YouTube account. I speak highly of him in multiple ways throughout that conversation."She continued, saying that she was "genuinely shocked and incredibly hurt upon receiving the news of this filing.""Litigation is a harrowing and emotionally draining experience, and I am heartbroken that he is choosing to subject us and our families to this ordeal," she concluded.
