Harry Styles Addresses Queerbaiting Allegations on 'SNL' with a Surprise Kiss

HarryStyles hosted and served as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

He used his monologue to address “queerbaiting” claims.

Styles was later seen with his girlfriend, Zoë Kravitz.

On March 14, HarryStyles hosted Saturday Night Live while also serving as the musical host. During his opening monologue, Styles took on the allegations he’s been “queerbaiting” throughout his career, meaning the musician has been perceived as embracing a queer identity for cultural capital while only publicly dating women.

“People seem to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing, and some people accused me of something called ‘queerbaiting,’” Styles began. “Did it ever occur to you that maybe you don’t know everything about me, dad? I ran it past him, he was fine with it.”

Styles then launched into his love of kissing, with SNL cast members Chloë Fineman and Sarah Sherman approaching as though they might try to grab a smooch. As he listed his turn-offs, they snuck off without a kiss. But when Styles shared he enjoys “a tight little bum,” cast member Ben Marshall went for it.

“Come on, Ben! Everyone knows there’s nothing little about that thaaaang. You’re holding a damn wagon back there,” Styles joked.

Then they did kiss, before Styles turned to the camera to declare, “Now, that’s queerbaiting!”

Styles appeared on Saturday Night Live a week earlier, when Ryan Gosling hosted, lurking in the audience and distracting the Barbie star with his natural charisma. This week, he sang music from his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

After the show, Styles was seen with his girlfriend, Zoë Kravitz, holding her hand as they made their way into the Saturday Night Live after-party. The couple was first linked in August 2025.
