Joanna Gaines shared a rare video of her two daughters Ella, 19, and Emmie, 16, from their girls’ trip to England on August 18.
Gaines and the teens had fans doing a double take with their matching long mermaid waves.
Gaines also shares sons Drake, 21; Duke, 18; and Crew, 8, with husband Chip.
Joanna Gaines revealed her two teenage daughters have inherited her thick waist-length tresses as she gave fans a rare glimpse into an idyllic girls’ trip to the English countryside. The Fixer Upper star and her ultra-private daughters Ella, 19, and Emmie, 16, twinned with matching XXL mermaid waves as they combined antique shopping with playing tourist.

“Finally got to the English countryside with my girls,” Joanna—who also shares sons Drake, 21; Duke, 18; and Crew, 8, with husband Chip Gaines—captioned a video montage from their summer adventure. She thanked Traverse City-based antique importer and architectural design firm House on Horizon for showing the group around, gushing, “It was all such a dream.”

It might have been a work trip, but the Magnolia co-founder took her followers along on the more personal moments from the getaway. In brief clips, Joanna could be seen from behind walking next to her lookalike daughters, who sported nearly-identical long thick waves in slightly different hues. The 48-year-old star kept Ella and Emmie’s faces mostly obscured, showing off brief glimpses as her daughters sat next to her on a bench in a town square, wandered through a vivid green maze, and snapped photos with a camera.

Joanna rarely posts about her kids on social media, but she recently marked the return of a bittersweet time of year for parents: Back-to-school season. Sharing photos of her embracing one of her sons as well as a big group hug with all five of her children, she wrote, “Thinking of all the parents sending their kids off to college this season. I’ve been on that side of move-in day, so I know the wide range of emotions well.”
However, Joanna noted a silver lining to her kids leaving the nest, adding, “As hard as that goodbye is, there’s nothing more fulfilling than watching your kid grow beyond you. It’s one of the greatest gifts of being a parent. May you find joy, comfort, and gratitude in the letting go.” The lifestyle mogul also appeared to share photos from her trip to England with her daughters, posting an image of her walking next to Ella and Emmie in a field with their long waves cascading down their backs.
