McDonald’s is giving Happy Meals an evil twist.

The Golden Arches unveiled its 2026 Boo Buckets on its USA Menu Spotter website on Thursday, Oct. 15, revealing a collaboration with Disney.

“This spooky szn, we’re entering our villain era,” reads the announcement, adding that this year’s buckets will feature “the ones you love to fear.”

The Disney Villains Boo Buckets Happy Meal will land in restaurants on Tuesday, Oct. 20, with “five wickedly collectible designs inspired by Disney’s most notorious scene-stealers.”

The nefarious crew includes Jafar (Aladdin), Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Scar (The Lion King), Cruella (One Hundred and One Dalmatians) and Maleficent (Maleficent).

The buckets come with “a villain-inspired lid” and stickers showing “iconic characters and details true fans will recognize.”

“Whether you’re into fabulous flair, mystical magic, fierce ambition, royal schemes, or sea-witch swagger, there’s a Boo Bucket for every kind of Villains fan,” the description notes.

The Boo Buckets, which double as trick-or-treat pails, will be available for a limited time, while supplies last.

The festive items were first introduced in 1986, later returning in 2022 for the first time since 2016.

Last year’s version had two new faces painted on the sides — Cat and Zombie — along with the previously released designs Ghost, Pumpkin and Goblin.

In 2024, the buckets featured monster faces in white, orange and green, also introducing a blue color.

And in 2023, the green, orange and white buckets were joined by a purple Vampire character. The green pail was a monster, orange was a skeleton and white was a mummy.

In September, McDonald’s launched another Happy Meal featuring an epic cartoon crossover.

The SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal debuted at locations nationwide starting Sept. 15. The collection featured 15 toys that mash up characters from SpongeBob‘s Bikini Bottom with One Piece’s Straw Hat Crew.

“Aye, Aye, Captain! A legendary adventure is about to make waves at McDonald’s,” read an announcement from the brand.

“For the first time ever, two of the most iconic franchises of the ocean are coming together for one treasure-filled adventure,” the release continued. “After all, what happens when a fry cook with big dreams crosses paths with a young captain determined to become King of the Pirates?  Obviously, an unforgettable voyage packed with friendship, adventure and imagination.”
