Celebrity blogger Perez Hiltonremains in hospital nearly two weeks after his admission, his family says.
Emergency services were seen outside the 48-year-old's Miami home on August 4 after members of the public reported witnessing him self-harm during a TikTok livestream.
His account was suspended shortly after the incident.
In a statement posted on Hilton’s website, his family said he is continuing to receive treatment from “medical and mental health professionals”.
“To everyone who has reached out, checked in, and kept Perez and our family in your thoughts, thank you!
“At this time, Perez remains hospitalized and is receiving the medical care he needs. His treatment is continuing in an inpatient setting under the care of a dedicated team of medical and mental health professionals.”
The family added that Hilton’s celebrity gossip blog would resume updates from this week onward.

They wrote: “Perez built PerezHilton.com more than 20 years ago, and it has remained one of the most important parts of his life ever since.
“Starting this week, his team will begin publishing again, focusing on the day’s biggest stories.
“Whether you have followed Perez from the beginning or only recently started reading, we hope you will continue visiting, reading, and sharing the site.
“We deeply appreciate your support while Perez focuses on his health and recovery.

In his family’s original statement after his hospital admission, they said Hilton “experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days.”
They also wrote that his recovery would be “a long process”.

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, rose to fame in the 2000s as a celebrity gossip blogger.
His pseudonym is a reference to Paris Hilton, who was at the pinnacle of her fame at the time of his blogging career.
His caustic attitude towards the stars he covered received criticism at the time, along with his practice of “outing” closeted gay celebrities.
The popularity of Hilton’s blog eventually declined, and he moved into a career in reality television, appearing on shows including Celebrity Rap Superstar and Celebrity Big Brother.
Hilton has three children, a son and two daughters, born via surrogate.
