Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage is reportedly under strain after they reportedly had a disagreement over the possibility of their children studying in Britain one day. A source told Closer that Harry wants to keep U.K. schooling as a likely option. The bigger picture behind the move is reportedly to help him make amends with his family members and grow closer to them.

But the idea reportedly does not sit well with the Suits star, who allegedly has no desire to return to the United Kingdom. The source explained that the couple are trying to find common ground, but the situation remains very tense.

Insider Claims Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Clash Over ‘British Education’

According to a report from Closer, a source shared that Prince Harry wants to make a “compromise” and return to the U.K. as a “part-time working royal.” Though he would prefer his wife, Meghan Markle, to join him, the hostility in the past makes her reluctant to return.

The source explained that the couple is ‘figuring out an agreement’ and that she would accompany him when it suits her. They continued, “She’s very independent, so she’s leaving it up to Harry to navigate it, but the feeling is it’s very much a make-or-break situation.”

An insider mentioned that the couple is pulled in “different directions” because of their “independent lives.” Markle was busy taking meetings in Los Angeles and promoting her lifestyle brand, As Ever. On the other hand, Harry is busy with his philanthropic work and mending relationships with his family members.

Another source shared that the Sussexes have been arguing over their children’s education. “Harry can’t rule out a British education. He wants his children to have a meaningful connection with that side of their family,” they said. “He’d prefer the kids to attend a mixed school, and has even explored the possibility of a day-pupil arrangement.”

But an insider suggested that the education is merely the “symptom” because the bigger issue is deciding where their home actually is. They warned, “If neither of them is prepared to compromise, the consequences for their relationship could be significant.”

In a separate report from Star magazine, a source told the outlet that her husband’s “biases” could be obstructing him from grabbing bigger paychecks. They continued that Markle wants him to “stop acting like he’s above the whole Hollywood thing” and start earning.

She believes that there are plenty of opportunities for him only if he stops acting “so snobbish about it.” The same publication had previously reported that the Remember Me actress had contacted the Kardashians to gain insight into business strategies to promote her own brand.

However, the Duke was against the suggestion because he did not want to spend time with Kris Jenner. A source shared, “It’s all pretty surreal and, honestly, a little embarrassing for Harry.” They explained that, in reality, the Spare author prefers to stay at home and read books rather than make small talk with “social climbers.”
