St. John is best known for playing Tiffany Case, the first American Bond girl in the James Bond franchise.
Wagner and St. John initially met in the 1950s, when they were both contract players at Fox, but their decades-long romance was fueled in November 1981 when the actress sent Wagner flowers and a sympathy note after the tragic drowning death of his actress wife, Natalie Wood, during a boat trip to California’s Catalina Island.
