Sarah Snook is a proud mother to one daughter.
The Succession actress has kept much of her personal life private, but she announced in March 2023 that she was pregnant with her first child with husband Dave Lawson. By May, she revealed that they had welcomed their daughter by sharing a photo of her newborn watching the Succession series finale.
Although Snook, who was nominated for a 2026 Golden Globe Award for All Her Fault, has not publicly shared her daughter's name, the actress credited her for inspiring her performance during season 4 of Succession.
Snook explicitly thanked her daughter after winning the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in January 2024.
As Snook's daughter grows up, she's still figuring out what exactly her mom does for a living. In November 2025, Snook joked that the little one thinks she may be a professional bower, since she's only seen her mom bow in front of audiences.
Here's everything to know about Sarah Snook's daughter.

The All Her Fault actress debuted her pregnancy at the season 4 premiere of Succession on March 20, 2023. She showed off her growing bump in a black one-piece.
"It's exciting!" she told Entertainment Tonight at the time. "I feel great." Snook explained that she was 32 weeks at the time and was due in "like two months."
On May 29, 2023, Snook revealed that she had welcomed her and Lawson's first child together. She shared the news by posting an Instagram photo of the back of her and her newborn's heads while watching the finale of Succession. She didn't specifically mention her child, but she related her changing life to the end of the HBO Max series.
"I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life," she wrote in part. "And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support."
Snook and Lawson welcomed their first child together two years after getting married in an intimate ceremony in February 2021. Snook and Lawson had previously been friends for nearly a decade before things turned romantic during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Less than a year after Snook shared the news of her pregnancy, she revealed that she was a girl mom.
When asked about motherhood on the red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globes, Snook gushed, "I love it. She's the best."
"She's standing. Not walking yet, but she's standing supported," she said of her little one. "She's great. I love her."

When Snook first shared the news of her pregnancy, she also divulged that she was pregnant while filming the fourth and final season of Succession.
"I mean, you couldn't super tell," she told Entertainment Tonight at the season 4 premiere. "Because it's not super big, at least at the moment."
She further joked with Extra that her role as Shiv Roy showed her "what not to do" as a parent and to not listen to the Roy family as a "paragon of family values."
In January 2024, Snook won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2023 Emmy Awards and took the moment to thank her daughter for inspiring her as she filmed.
Snook referred to her daughter as her "biggest thank you," and said, "to someone who won't understand anything that I'm saying at the moment, but I carried her with me in this last season. And really, it was her who carried me."
"It's very easy to act when you're pregnant because you’ve got hormones raging. It was more that the proximity of her life growing inside me gave me the strength to do this and this performance, and I love you so much," Snook added. "And it's all for you from here on out. Thank you."
She joked that her daughter is still figuring out her job and thinks she bows for a living

During a Nov. 6, 2025, appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Snook gave a rare update about her daughter when she explained that the little one is still trying to understand what her mom does for a living.
“Yeah, she’s still sort of learning what I do,” Snook said, while explaining that much of the exposure her daughter has had to her career has been seeing her in the play The Picture of Dorian Gray.
“Well I mean, when I was doing Dorian, my husband would bring her in and like for the bows, she would often be ... during the matinee, she would often be behind stage so she could see me bowing," Snook said. "But I think that she thinks that my job is just going to work and bowing for two hours.”
Snook took a bow and joked, “Like I just stand there and do this, and people clap.”
The Golden Globe nominee recalled another moment when she and her daughter passed a bus with her face on it, and she wasn't totally sure what her daughter was thinking.
"I’ve got it on camera where it’s like panning from my face to her, and she’s like on the magna doodle doing something, and she’s like, ‘Whatever.’ And it’s like, ‘That is weird!' " she said.
Snook is also a stepmother and godmother

In addition to caring for her daughter, Snook is also a stepmother to Lawson's son from a previous relationship. During a 2021 appearance on the Funny in Failure podcast, Lawson expressed how fatherhood changed his life for the better.
"I can't have regrets because I wouldn't have [my son]. It's that problem, if you go back in time and change one thing. A lot of it comes back to being a dad. If I change one thing ... I wouldn't want to risk undoing that," he said.
Snook also has a special role in her Succession costar (and on-screen brother) Kieran Culkin's son Wilder's life.
"She's my son's godmother," Culkin said during an episode of Variety's "Actors on Actors" in December 2024. "And one of my favorite people in the world."
