A semi-private golf club in Florida will only allow members to play the course on the weekends starting January 2027.
It'll be members only on the weekends at a Florida golf club starting in the new year.
The Club at Eaglebrooke, a semi-private club in Lakeland, Florida, made the announcement that Saturdays and Sundays will be for members only beginning in January. The club said in a release the aim is to "provide members and their accompanied guests with exclusive access to the golf course during weekends."
It further stated more specific goals include reducing wait times and increasing availability. "The Club at Eaglebrooke seeks to foster a more personalized and community-focused environment," said the release.

The club's restaurant will be open to the everyone Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner.
"We believe this change represents an important next step in our continued evolution as a membership-focused club," general manager Ryan Roberts said in a statement. "With more opportunities for our members to enjoy the golf course on weekends, we also look forward to welcoming more families, creating more member interaction, and building an even stronger sense of community at Eaglebrooke. This change is about putting our members first and making sure that one of the most valuable benefits of your membership—access to your golf course—is available when you need it most."
Lakeland is between Orlando and Tampa. The Club at Eaglebrooke opened in 1996 and had an extensive renovation in 2025 which rebuilt 20 greens and resurfaced the collars around the greens. In addition, two bridges were built on the 13th hole, a large bulkhead on the 17th hole was done and various bunkers around the course were reshaped.
