The charges stem from an alleged Mardi Gras fight at a French Quarter bar in New Orleans
Shia LaBeouf has been ordered to enroll in substance abuse treatment, undergo drug testing and post a $100,000 bond as conditions of his release after his arrest in New Orleans.
The actor, 39, was taken into custody on Feb. 17 on two counts of misdemeanor battery following an alleged altercation at Royal Street Inn & R Bar during Mardi Gras festivities.
In the hours after his arrest, LaBeouf was released on his own recognizance, meaning he did not have to pay bail at the time.
However, during a hearing Thursday, Feb. 26, Judge Simone Levine said that allegations the actor had used homophobic slurs were not yet reflected in the official court record when he was initially freed, according to The Guardian.

The judge revoked that earlier release and imposed a $100,000 bond, along with mandatory treatment and participation in a drug-testing program. LaBeouf posted bond following the hearing and remains out of custody under the new terms.

As previously reported by PEOPLE, one of the alleged victims, Jeffrey Damnit (born Jeffrey Klein), said the confrontation began inside the French Quarter bar in the late afternoon. He claimed LaBeouf used homophobic slurs before being escorted outside by staff.
Damnit alleged that once outside, the situation escalated and the actor struck him and a bartender. According to an initial police report obtained by PEOPLE, one alleged victim was hit in the face with a closed fist, possibly dislocating his nose, and reset it himself.
Authorities transported LaBeouf to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries before booking him.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 19. Reps for the actor did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
