U.S. Olympics legend Simone Biles has been forced to respond after trolls mocked her emergency health scare. Biles, 29, an 11-time Olympic medalist with seven golds, was relaxing in Belize on a well-earned break until trolls took to her comments section.

"Relaxing in paradise," Biles captioned the post. However, critics inserted themselves into the conversation, drawing a revealing response from Biles, who said she suffered an emergency health scare and nearly died.

"Ugh these comments make me sad," she said. "A little over two weeks ago, I experienced a serious medical emergency that could have ended very differently, and this trip has been part of allowing myself to heal & appreciate being here." It comes after Biles opened up about being attacked about her personal life.

"I hope you understand that life-changing experiences can shift your perspective. & that you're able to extend a little more grace to others moving forward. Have a nice day!" Biles continued. Biles also explained how her recent health scare was one of the scariest moments of her life, before jetting off to Belize for a holiday.

"I'm not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today's age. But almost dying wasn't on my bingo card this week," Biles said. Her husband, NFL star Jonathan Owens, was not present after signing with the Indianapolis Colts earlier this year, following two seasons with the Chicago Bears.

"This was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life, especially since Jonathan was in Indy for practices," Biles wrote. "I've been in bed resting this week. I'll explain sooner or later, but [shoutout] to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers."

The 2028 Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, but Biles is still undecided on whether she will compete in the U.S. She's already one of the most decorated Olympians.

Biles has not set foot in gymnastics training since Paris 2024. She would be like 31 by the time comes to compete at the next Olympics. "I feel our bodies are a bit like an hourglass that's slowly running out.

"Right now, I'm 29, and although longevity in the elite has advanced by leaps and bounds, it would be a huge sacrifice to try to be at Los Angeles [at 31]. We'll have to see."

Instead, Yoga and Pilates has been keeping Biles going in the meantime. "I think it's just so I can say I'm doing a little movement, because I actually hate exercise. I feel that after doing it for so long, I deserve a break. And I'm giving myself that privilege," she said.

"That said, my husband takes me to Pilates, and honestly it's not fun at all. It's very hard, pure pain and effort. But he loves it. And I do it because I love sharing it with him."
