Taylor Swift gave Jodie Turner-Smith and her daughter a moment they will not forget, and it happened right in the middle of the “Opalite” music video set. Turner-Smith told PEOPLE that she recently worked with Swift on the “Opalite” music video, in which she appeared as an aerobics instructor. Although she enjoyed the job, she said Swift also made sure Turner-Smith’s 5-year-old daughter, Juno, could be part of the experience.

Jodie Turner-Smith exclusively spoke to PEOPLE at Target’s “Spring Beauty Studio” event in New York City, offering a glimpse into what Taylor Swift did for her and her daughter during the making of the “Opalite” music video. She opened up about balancing motherhood with work and suggested that the video shoot left a strong impression on her.

Referring to the pop singer, Turner-Smith said, “I think it’s my favorite experience on a music video. It was so incredible to watch her work and the way that she works and the way her mind moves.” Moreover, she confessed, “And when she hit me up and was like, ‘Hey, will you do this?’ I was like, ‘Say less.'”

Keeping the project private was a huge part of the story, especially with a child around. The “Queen and Slim” actor gushed, “She’s so cool and down to earth and wonderful, and it was interesting keeping it a secret,” adding, “I’m so proud of my daughter for not telling anyone.”

Additionally, Turner-Smith said others worried Juno might slip up. She said, “And they were like, ‘Please, no, because we don’t want her to tell anyone.’ And Taylor was like, ‘I want to meet her.’ So that was so sweet.” After the video dropped, Turner-Smith posted photos from the set, including shots of Juno hugging Swift.

In her caption, she praised Swift, writing, “continue to be in awe of you @taylorswift.” She added, “Your creativity, your intelligence, your wit, your generosity, your grace,” suggesting that the experience went beyond a fun cameo for her.
