White Castle is rolling out Crave & Go automated kiosks offering hot sliders in 1,000 nontraditional locations like hospitals and workplaces

The kiosks will provide on-demand food in areas that usually don't have White Castle restaurants

The chain plans to test new products for the kiosks and expand their presence with the machines

You may be able to get a slider from a vending machine soon.

White Castle is launching hot-food automated Crave & Go kiosks filled with its Sliders in 1,000 locations, per a press release shared with PEOPLE.

“The White Castle Crave & Go orders are prepared for guests on demand, giving on-the-go consumers fast, convenient access to a variety of Sliders through a technology-enabled platform, often in locations where a traditional White Castle restaurant is not available,” the release said.

Per the release, the “Crave & Go kiosk deployment has already begun.” It said that the early installations have already led to strong consumer engagement.

The chain is working with Automated Retail Technologies, LLC to initiate this effort, which it said has the goal of reaching “a wide range of commercial and institutional environments.”

The chain added that the “automated retail” allows it to meet customers wherever their “cravings strike” in places where you normally don't find White Castle, like hospitals and workplaces.

The fast-food chain is launching the Crave & Go kiosks in colleges, corporate campuses, healthcare systems and other institutional locations.

According to the release, the Automated Retail Technologies platform already appears in a broad range of these environments.

The companies also plan to test potential new products for the automated machines.

“White Castle and ART will also collaborate to test future product innovation and menu expansion specifically designed for automated retail environments,” the release said.

While the chain is starting with 1,000 locations, it hopes to expand the presence of the machines, “delivering White Castle to consumers whenever the Crave strikes.”

The chain added that it expects to accelerate expansion this year.

White Castle has been in the news for its accessibility in the past – it shared in 2025 that 72% of its locations are open 24/7.

The brand, known affectionately as “Night Castle” in the evening hours, said in a release that it is ready to welcome guests at all hours.

It shared that the most popular items ordered between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. were the Crispy Chicken Slider, cheese fries and cheese sticks, Chicken Rings and the Chicken Ring Slider.

These items are disproportionately ordered at night compared to during the day or in the early evening, per the release.

The dessert offerings at the chain, like its Fudge-Dipped Brownie On-A-Stick and Gooey Buttercake On-A-Stick, were also unusually popular at night.
