The annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner will be held this weekend, and unlike previous years, President Donald Trump will be present.
It will mark the first time Trump has attended the event in either of his terms, prompting widespread pushback from journalists who called on the association to "use the occasion of the White House Correspondents' Dinner to forcefully demonstrate opposition to President Trump’s efforts to trample freedom of the press."
The dinner will be hosted by mentalist Oz Pearlman, a change from comedians who are usually tapped for the gig.

She will attend as a guest of Fox News, which is also throwing its own VIP party before Saturday's official dinner, Fox confirmed to USA TODAY.
The cocktail pre-party at the Washington Hilton will be attended by other high-profile figures alongside Minaj, including Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk and NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore, Fox confirmed.
